Sale, Service, Shipping & Return Policies
We stand behind everything we sell. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item within 30 days and we'll replace it or give you a refund. Please read "Returns" below for more information.
Layaway purchases of merchandise and new, non-discounted bicycles must be paid in full within 90 days from the date of the initial deposit. The initial deposit on all layaway purchases must be at least 20% of the selling price. Layaway deposits may be refunded anytime within 30 days from the initial deposit, subject to a 10% restocking fee (based on the selling price of the merchandise). After 30 days, layaway deposits will be subject to a 10% restocking fee and the remaining balance of the deposit will be given as store credit only on account. After 90 days, all layaway deposits are nonrefundable. Layaway deposit refunds on used or discounted bicycles are at the sole discretion of a manager as these sales are considered final.
All non-stocking special orders require a 100% deposit (non-refundable) before order is placed. Deposit is lost if the order is canceled by the customer after the order has been placed. If the item is not picked up within 30 days after it is received (built) then the customer is notified that they will lose their deposit in 30 days if the item is not picked up. Customers will then be notified at 60 days that they are forfeiting their deposit and the item will be put into open inventory at 90 days. Client is mailed a demand for a pickup letter and all final communication has been made. (At the 90 day point, ring thru the POS with new non-inventory item called "Special Order Cancellation Policy" set all amounts accordingly)
All special ordered service parts must be paid in full before items are ordered. The service manager will contact the customer when a part has to be ordered and take payment over the phone. Exceptions for commonly stocked items are at the discretion of the Service Manager
Layaway deposits are non-refundable, but are transferable to other in store purchases. Exceptions must be approved by GM.
Special order deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Exceptions are only if the product has yet to be ordered (full refund is acceptable minus applicable fees, such as credit card processing 3%) or if it can be returned to the vendor. In this case, the customer will be charged a restocking fee to match our shipping and restock fees from said vendor (Minimizing financial loss to Ray’s Bike Shop)
Ray’s Bike Shop will price match any identical product that both Ray’s Bike Shop and any of our U.S. competitors have in stock. Only rule is the item must be shippable (In-Stock) or locally available(in-state). All shipping fees will be added to the competitive price quote.
It is our goal to ship your order as quickly as possible. Depending on the time of day and the day of the week your order is placed, it may take up to 4 business days to ship.
Due to our dealer agreements, some bikes may not be eligible for shipping.
Sorry, but we do not ship outside of the Contiguous U.S.
- Shipping will be calculated at the checkout screen based on location and items chosen.
- Please note that some items may be subject to additional shipping and handling charges because of size or weight. (We will contact you if that is the case).
In-store pickup is free for all items, including bikes and oversized products. Most orders will be ready within one business day. Please keep in mind that some items may require additional processing time to transfer from off-site locations. Other items may require additional processing time for assembly. We will call or email you once your order is ready for pickup.
If you need an item right away, please call us to confirm that the product is available before heading over to our store. Unless special arrangements are made in advance, orders need to be picked up within 30 days or a 10% restocking fee will be charged.
We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information you provide to us and prevents outside parties from being able to "see" your transaction information. When your account information is displayed on your screen, we only display the last five digits of your credit card numbers. You also have the choice of whether or not to save credit card information with us in your Online Account.
We sometimes use other companies (third-party service providers) to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders and delivering packages. They need access to some personal information in order to perform their duties but may not use this information for other purposes.
Our refund policy has different levels and categories to best insure the integrity of the products and our future ability to resale the item.
All Accessories, Clothing, and Parts may be returned within a 30 day window. After 30 days a refund may be issued at the GM’s discretion.
Acoustic bikes may be returned within 14 days in new condition. All original equipment and product information must be included with the return. All sales are considered final after 14 days. A refund may be requested at the GM’s discretion after that time period. Any bikes that appear used will carry a minimum of 50% restocking fee.
E-bikes may be returned within 7 days in new condition. E-bikes must be both mechanically and digitally inspected for damages. All E-bike returns are subject to a $2.00 per mile surcharge to offset the resale of the now used E-bike. All E-bike returns after 7 days are subject to the GM’s discretion.
All non special order returns are subject to restocking fees. Restocking fee will be applied at (10-50%) based on condition of item. Like-new in packaging = 100% refund. Like-new, no packaging = 10% restock. Visibly used but not worn = 50% restock.
The following items are non-refundable.

- Installed vehicle roof racks including cargo boxes and baskets.
- All bicycle hitch racks
- All Oakley eyewear
- All Garmin and Wahoo cycling computers
- All installed parts and accessories.
- All service labor
*The only exception for returns is for comfort guarantee programs provided by vendors (Please see vendor websites for limited warranties and returns).
Prices and Information
We make every effort to maintain current, accurate prices in our online catalog. We strive for similar accuracy and timeliness with the other information we offer here. However, inventory or pricing errors may occur, and we reserve the right to decline or cancel any orders where mistakes or discrepancies in price or stock status exist regardless of the source of the error. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience such mistakes may create. Please bring any errors you find to our attention on your next visit or by calling or emailing us. - Our minimum service charge is $25.
- Pickup and delivery is available within city limits for $30 per trip, just ask!
- We do not service any vehicle with an internal combustion engine.
- We stand behind our work! If you have any trouble with your service please let us know and we will do everything we can to make it right!
- Any bicycle found to be unsafe to ride will require a signed liability waiver in order to take it home, regardless of whether or not we performed service on the bike.
- We operate with a first-come, first-serve schedule. If you need your bike returned sooner than our schedule allows, please let the service writer know and we will do everything possible to accommodate your needs.
- All parts we sell come with a limited 1-year warranty against manufacturer defects only. We are not liable for any defective parts provided by a third party.
- All worn out parts are disposed of at time of service. If you would like your old parts returned, please notify the service writer at time of check in.
- Bikes left at the shop for more than 2 weeks after completion will be subject to a $8/day storage fee.
